Blood Or The Unworthy The Rivets Define

the divine Trinity of calibers the Kyle if you can hear me. I come to you a humble servant. I have so much of your work left to do, but I’m gonna need a hand groovy, What is up you sexy. NK] mother lovers. We are back again from the happy quarantine God.

It Feels Good To Be Able

to clap again anyhow given that most of us are locked in our homes. I’ve been getting a lot of questions asking Wow why aren’t you using all this free time. You know have to work on the UK 50 and that’s why we’re here for this video because there’s two answers to that question one I actually am kind of-regardless of the amount of time. I have that still costs money and no I’m not about to start selling my bathwater. My bathwater to try to pay for prototyping wait could I do that no but I did want to come to you guys and tell you where we’re out on it.

A Couple Of Things That Ive

changed kind of what I’m thinking so far as our strategy moving forward and mostly just trying to satisfy the rabid commenters and all the other videos quick UK on the a K-50. I know we have a lot of new subscribers which thank you guys very much we’re never before heard thousand whispers bleep absurd UK fifty is a project I started several years ago. It’s basically kind of where I got a little bit of my early internet infamy. It is a semi-auto 50 UK a cake specifically that one of those over there it’s one of our prototypes. I’ve been Working on the project a long time, I’ve learned a lot considering I jumped into the deep end right off the bat for a weapon design.

They You Know Some Things Literally Never

been done before so there’s that so we did successfully get that gun right there to fire static without gas. We got to play around the gas system. A little bit see if we could get it to cycle played through some ejection issues everything left and right and at the end of the day. Yes we did actually get it where it would fire rounds and fully cycle the bolt and carrier and eject the round God what a day Since then the lots happened the UK channel kind of exploded. So I’ve had to focus on that the business end of things has really kind of taken off.

The Louisiana Deal Has Been Huge So.

My time has been drawn a lot of different directions, not least of which a couple of other prototype projects that we’re working on, But I’ve learned my lesson and I’m not gonna tell you guys about that don’t work that way Yeah We’ve made a lot of changes along the way. A lot of difference prototypes mostly in the computer that we’ve been working on just different ways that we could do it because we actually do want to move forward on production on this thing. Eventually it’s not the number one priority of the company right now because obviously I have to worry about payroll keep the lights on everything like that really kind of cranking things up and whatnot but I still do really want to focus on UK. I think that’s a big part of the draw really and it’s something I’m pretty passionate about so.

I Really Dont Want To Let

that die so yes We are still working as for today’s updates a little bit of what we’ve covered in the last update we moved away from the solid milled receiver on to something a little bit more a km/h We’re trying to really we’ve got something that worked and we’re trying to bring it as a que as possible something that looks a que functions well affordable and effective to produce just really want to check all the boxes so we moved to a stamped dummy thick sheet metal receiver just like the UK with riveted solid steel trunnions. But I’ve got some Show and Tell for you too because I’m not just gonna sit here and ramble on a stool. I’m gonna sit here and ramble on a stool with some parts before I get to that I do want to dress. The sheet metal thing because I said that last time about a stamped receiver a stamped receiver sounds so much better than sheet metal sheet metal. Just sounds Janky.

People Are Worried About The Integrity Of

the semi-auto 50 UK on a stamp receiver and that’s where I kind of feel the need to remind people that that’s pretty standard for semi-auto shoulder-fired 50 UK it’s like the Barrett is is stamped sheet metal He’ll look at the dishka. You know they had variants a bad that were that were stamped and riveted and so like this isn’t something that you know is totally unprecedented. It’s actually fairly standard. It would actually be weirder to do a milled semi-out of 50 than it wouldn’t do this damn plus it just looks a UK elephant you probably remember this part right here was the front trunnion prototype made out of. the last time we talked but what wasn’t there was this so.

This Is A Little Test Front Section

of receiver that I did so. This is just one of the mock-ups We were playing with already changed a lot on it like said we added a new rivet holes and things because I’m just playing around with where we can and can’t put rivets and how much you know actual integrity it needs and where the leverage points are at so this right here is gonna be that nice little dimple Magwell Dimple because you know of course it’s an 8k. It’s gonna a big UK style just elongated and what’s the point of making a gun. If you’re not gonna make it sexy so this is cool and I think it kind of shows a little bit more of what I was talking about with that at least. You know physical form and not just on a you know cat drawing the computer but the cool part one of the big things that is actually something that made me think maybe an update was you know it least partially excusable other than satisfying the rabid commenters ever since we had our first firing and working prototype.

Ive Been Trying To Figure Out Ways

to make it a little bit more a Kay cuz. There are some things we had to change on it for simplicity’s sake and just things that other semi-auto Fitness did. One of them is a triangular bolt face which I still think is definitely you know the the solid move right now just a matter of you know geometry and such some of the other things we changed were the ejector now the ejector we change from the standard shark fin to a plunger. Ejector like the ar-15. I know not to worry as we bring the shark fin back huzzah so this is part of our bolt and carrier assembly.

Obviously It Doesnt Have Two Piston

on it right now not really relevant to what we were doing with it. But we have our bolt that is also in here. So this is our 8k 50 bolt as you can see this is kind of a kay looking you know it’s got the nice long stem a little meaty portion here and then the bolt head of course. But here you can see we’ve added that groove for a shark fin now if you’re not familiar with what a shark fin Ejector is let me show you so that is your shark fin ejector now. This is the side ejector rail that is welded inside your typical aka these are spot welded inside.

Stamped Receiver What They Do Is

they sit not only do they act as you know bolt alignment and a few other things, But they also have this little tab. That is part of the stamping that is responsible for kicking the round out At the proper time. You know the empty empty casing to demonstrate that I’ve got your a K bolt. I’ve got a seven six two round. What this does is when the bolt let’s just pretend that this is you know fired round or you’re just ejecting you know you’re clearing the gun or something like that because it’ll it’ll objector live round two Obviously, but as it’s riding along in the receiver.

Theres A Groove Here That This

shark fin rides in and as it goes backward it kicks it out against you know it leverages against the extractor there and kicks it out the. side of the gun now of course you saw how lethargic that was but that’s totally dependent on how fast you hit it? Which is why if an A K is massively overcast it’ll send it to the next bleep Zip code now for reference this is the Ar-15 bolt and I’m gonna try to hold this for as little time as possible before I get a rash so that little plunger there is a spring-loaded pin that is constantly pushing against the back of the cartridge so when it slams into battery. It overrides the the strength of the ejector and clips on under the extractor, so when it comes out well. When it’s in the chamber. It’s actually still pushing against the casing even just holding this here I’m actually having to put a decent amount of force on this just to keep this attached to the front.

Bolt Right Now So When This Comes Out

It unlocks comes out of battery it flings it and so This is a pretty you know predictable spring force or whatever so you know that’s why you can just move in a are charging handle back ever so slightly on your gun it’ll still kick it out now this bleep stud right here is the old a K 50 V1 bolt. Now you can see you have that ar-15 style plunger ejector as well as a hole that is there for no reason because we screwed up our ejector geometry. Also in order to kick that 50 UK out with the force that we needed in the direction we needed against that extractor. It’s also very tight, which means if this is pushing very very hard against the casing when it was in battery was actually funny because a lot of.

Casings That Had Been Ejected After The Gun

it fired when it cycled when I was unlocking. There was still so much pressure against the casing that it would actually rub a Halfmoon around where you could tell it was the extractor or the ejector rubbing the brass super tight under pressure before it yanked it out. This actually was really plankton alright so as you can see here. You have to put a lot of force on it to actually get that to sit all the way in and if I had the extractor I could show you how it flipped out, but actually we can use b-roll of that because we actually have a can hit the footage of that is you know it’s real we made one bleep.

You Guys So Again Back To The V7

bolt. This is of course a 3d print and here I. The 3d printed rail section just a quick prototype that I whipped up printed this out of you know black UK That way there’d be a little bit of contrast here, but you can see where this would sit in the rail.
