Okay Welcome To The Chrissy Mayer Podcast Seriesnk] Producer.

She currently working on Entertainment Weekly Live with Jessica Shaw and Dalton Ross on Starz 109 formerly and also currently one of the producers or the producer of the Chip-chip person podcast on the Riot cast network and you used to work with Jay Thomas Welcome to the show Christina thank you for having me hi Chrissy Yes you too oh my gosh so you’re in Pennsylvania. You had this grueling commute like as for as long as I’ve known you. It’s like you’re like the only person I know who like now you’re the only person who’s got a longer commute than me, but perhaps like you would say you know I’d see you at the chip show and you’d be like Oh. This was like it was at least three hours or sometimes two hours to get home.

So Its A Two-And A Half Hour

commute from door to door that means like car the bus to the walk to the work right and now it’s been to the next room and it’s awesome, but also I hate it. I don’t know how to feel about it like I miss I don’t miss the bus whatsoever but I miss being in studio. I don’t like doing radio from my basement What kind of fun is that you know yeah it’s nice cuz no commuting for me personally I’m like I like getting like ready to have a day it’s like there’s something exciting about like going into the city and like you don’t know what’s gonna happen. It’s like I’ll probably have the same lunch every day but like there’s something great about like getting into New York City and yeah like who’s gonna try to spit. In my mouth at the Port Authority today I’m out whose sperm is gonna make its way out on demand that’s important Tori yeah that’s one thing I’m sure you know this is left a gnarly Port Authority Yeah, like the biggest thing.

Id Say That I Dont Miss Is Seeing

bare feet where the pigeons hang out like some and those two things together really suck me up you just don’t like feeding pigeons yeah and like you know these feet are like shoes right like these are like hard feet like a layer of crust like Oh Yeah. There’s a whole soul under there that just I mean you could step on a nail and you won’t feel it yeah so that combined with you know like a dirty Port Authority pigeon just zipping around of course we have coronavirus. I mean I would hope that at this. point it’s got the Port Authority like all the other subways and train stations has gotten a deep-clean. Hopefully that’s good enough there’s so many memories like there’s so much just like Garbage like it in the seams like yeah seeped in but yeah, so on one hand.

You Probably Like Not Having To

commute but and I figured this new routine for you would be less stressful and less work because that’s how it seems for most people that are working remotely. It’s so weird like I feel like I work harder now and more hours now than I ever did mostly because I have somebody like my husband’s here that Kiesza can you stop checking your email like I do it all day well. I’m not even realizing I’m doing yeah so I kind of Miss that workflow more so than this one Cuz like I don’t I. Sunday scary’s every day it seems even in quarantine yeah because there’s a like a confidence about you when life is normal right and now Yeah It’s like all over the place and you never know where you’re gonna get and I’m Just like Oh like maybe the bus was okay you did everything you’d find yourself missing the bus roast never Wow so that must be frustrating like you and so your husband it’s eaten. He’s not in the entertainment industry at all he’s not all in entertainment normal job doesn’t even have a Twitter account or an Instagram.

Its A Dream Come True Its Outside Building

a deck right now Oh my gosh yeah like real normal stuff happening over here okay. Your husband has a big deck or middle sized deck pack I would love a deck pick um but he works from home anyway so he. was that was his things he already he’s good at it. You know like what does he do or like as much as you can say. He works for a company that is like you would outsource for like software needs and like all kinds of things to get your business up and running and he’s like like in sales but not in sales and he’s you know he’s like a taker clients out for steak dinners kind of guy he’s got his working from home routine down pat it’s like it’s a well-run routine for him.

Hes Like Babe Calm Down Its Fine If

it doesn’t work it doesn’t work Oh my God needs to work Wow yeah that must get like tough too because like I don’t me and my boyfriend are always constantly checking our phones for social media for emails. Cuz he is in comedy too. But we both you know have had day jobs We both like our into social media, so it’s like we have similar phone habits. We both play Pokemon go so so that must be tough Cuz. I I were in that situation and like the guy that I was like yeah just can you not check your phone so much I would I would feel like Oh man like am I just sort of being selfish here I’m being like you know yeah like sometimes they’ll be like what’s Twitter is that is that your Twitter or the shows Twitter like it’s the shows he’s like okay go ahead Yeah you know Cuz it just gets to be so consuming and then you forget like Oh.

All Of A Sudden Its Six

o’clock and my head’s been buried on my phone All day do you get the screen time reports. No no I do not. I gotta figure out a way to shut them off because I think one flashed up yesterday for me and it’s at eight hours and something minutes and I was like Oh that’s why don’t you see that or when to breathe. I’m not interested the pipe down peanut gallery I’ve got this I don’t need the phone–like dictate my whole life. It’s too much.

app which is like it might be a waste of money but at 10 p.m. every night it’s I get a text like how are you feeling then I always think it’s a person and I’m like Oh it’s the app. The app cares the app is checking in but yeah interesting interesting. So there’s more how there’s more work for you right now is it because like you have to.

Do More Words All On Myself Yeah Like

I’m you know giving myself extra I think just because I feel like well. I mean I’m here and it’s open might as well tend to it right so yeah, I think everybody needs to learn like management of that sort of thing and like when it’s okay when you’re working from home to not be working. You know like it’s like I think it’ll take some getting used to like anything else and then before you know it. We’re gonna just live in a pod and no and we’ll never get to hug again and we’ll be used to oh. Do you think so do you think this is just a never ever going back to anything no and I don’t know I think that we’re gonna go back.

Were Gonna Slowly Peek Into Normal And

then like it’s gonna flare. up again like a herpe like like another wave right like people like to keep comparing it to the 1918 influenza pandemic well. I mean it’s of course it’s gonna happen right like They say you can hang out in groups less than ten okay, but what if like somebody in that group has it and it doesn’t matter how many people are in the group. Somebody has it now everybody has it Nobody knows anything so we’re just gonna like roll it out see what happens more people unfortunately probably get sick or lose their lives and then you know it’s going to just keep like a snowball effect until we have a vaccine. I guess or maybe that you know there’s another pill that we could take that won’t work and hopefully won’t kill us.

I Dont Know Have You Been

feeling it’s It sounds like you’re been like have you been feeling frustrated with like what seems like a lack of information or or one day they’re telling us this the next week next week. Masks are good and then in the beginning they were saying Don’t wear masks in the beginning they were saying make sure all the masks go to the medical people and now it’s like you can’t go into a store with that one yeah I don’t like how I there’s no one place to go and get good information or that there’s nobody that’s setting a good example for us to have good information. I don’t like that my mom that lives in Arizona, who is a baby boomer with baby boomer with like you know lower immune deficiencies gets to go and get a pedicure and I don’t. Like my where’s her consistency across you know like why did why is it okay for Arizona to get a mani-pedi. I don’t understand and then how do I keep her contained and I’m like mom you can’t go ouch now I’m fine how do you know you’re fine Nobody knows we’re fine so you know and also I’m standing in line at Home Depot like four out of five days a week so let me get deck stuff right yeah so I’m standing next to these people every single day what’s the difference if I stand next to them and I don’t know a Panera who knows yeah all right.

Its Hard Because You Cant.

You think you’re doing the right thing and then all of a sudden. It’s like well. This small group of people is getting together have you been getting those invites for get togethers with.

Cuz Youre Out In Youre Out Of The

city you’re like in the burbs Yeah Everybody’s real big on that we’ll light a bonfire and then we’ll stand around the bonfire and the heat will kill it. Then the fire will kit will protect us well do spells yeah Yeah I mean it started out with birthday parades right I never do new people who are doing it. I was like I cannot believe you’re actually driving by a person’s house honking I was like I guess. This is the thing they just do for kids, but I know there’s like a certain sadness to it kind of that you’re gonna drive by yeah well that’s what’s happening.

So We Have This Birthday Parade

thing. I was a little iffy about that and then all of a sudden it started to become hey. Maybe we should you know just drop. some some food off on a porch and then before you know it.

You Know Were Talking At A Distance

now we’re maybe saying hi at the car, but I’m standing outside the car. I don’t know it’s who knows it’s it’s awful it is awful. I feel I feel bad too because it’s like you’re only just wear.
