Alexa went off earlier and so I muted myself because I was like Oh my God. I don’t want to interrupt Chrissy’s talks about sex toys with Ah, I know I’m moving I moved out of my apartment. It took approximately 1 000 trips like back and forth and then I’m. I’m there like I don’t know because I’ve just moved so many times in my life, but it’s usually because like I’m going from one like rented room to another and this was the first time I had sort of like you know it’s like you rent a room in New York City or whatever and you like you just have your one ten by ten or whatever room but I’ve had the opportunity over the last like four years to accumulate multiple rooms worth of crap so and I’m there like sweeping up scrubbing the fridge um.

okay but Camille um yeah When did you start doing I know I started comedy in like 2010. I think it was march of 2010. . was that around themish time for you yeah. It was around that time that was when I did It was like it was like November or something no no okay.

This Is What It Was Because I Remember

I was not 21 yet Oh. In August of 2010 I checked out um new York comedy club I just like went this is when I was like I hadn’t started yet but I was like curious so then I think my first ever open. Mic was like. In November of 2010. Oh wow okay Yeah so you were really and I thought I was youngish, but now it’s like.

I Really Wasnt.

I was 26 when I started. So you were like 21 when you started yeah yeah. I mean it took me a while to get serious, though like I definitely just screwed around for a little like here and there I had no idea how much you needed to be out. You know Oh it’s like Oh, it’s a really nice week and it’ll be great Yeah and that’s how it all that’s how it was when I like when I started too because there’s nobody like unless you happen to be hanging around that that other comic who is going out who’s getting up like 10 times a week like unless you happen to be friends with Tuba basically that’s the only one.

Then Youre Gonna Be Casual About It

you’re gonna be yeah getting up like after a while I did like a one open mic a week like maybe two and it’s like. No dude like if you’re doing this you have to be kind of all or nothing, and it takes a few years for for you to figure that out because you’re like I don’t know you just like you have a lot of people telling you like Oh that’s not enough yeah Yeah Yeah. It has to be a second job basically, but I didn’t realize that until a couple years in and I was like Oh bleep I’ve been doing it wrong Yeah and like just I think people don’t know just the amount of sacrifice that goes into like truly pursuing like if you’re gonna be like a hobbyist and like get up whenever but like to truly pursue it and see where it takes you it’s like you like go ahead and be prepared to like give up travel. I don’t know reproducing um having anything nice. living in a nice living somewhere with space yeah being a part of anything else any like group activities there’s nothing Yeah yeah It’s like you’re like Oh.

I Want To Be A Comedian,

but also be in this bird watching group guess what bird watching that’s going out the window. You got to give that up no book clubs nothing you got to get up your book club Yeah if you’re serious yeah I want to talk about your album. the world after 10 years grinding the pavement. I spent most of the last 12 months grinding Zoom, which is very inappropriate, but we do what we got to do. This album is an accumulation of jokes. I wrote in my 20s and I can’t wait to release my 30-year-old material one day and this is so great. I’m just gonna play like a little a little clip.
