Really think it helps put things in perspective for us for what happened over the weekend of the European elections and of course, Kaufmann is writing in response to the tsunami and the nationalist populism that swept over Europe over the last several years climaxing of late in the European parliamentary elections, where the Nationalist Paco’s right won an unprecedented number of seats. The secular Globalist media is working overtime trying to spin this election as a win for the Liberals and for the Greens, and that the populist underperformed that they didn’t meet the vote expectations. Whatever but these pundits are all guilty of what we call a snapshot mentality. In that sense this arbitrary bar and it celebrates when the right kind of fall short of it.
But If We Take The Media
completely out of this and simply look at the long term trends that have been. Going on actually as far back as the 1980s when National Front first made its debut with Marine Lepen Father and Frances presidential elections. If we look at the last few decades and the movement of Europeans toward the nationalist populist right is simply undeniable and astonishing again just to give you a sense of how things have been going in the past 17 years. The actual number of nationalist and populist parties across the European continent has more than doubled growing from 33 to upwards of 70 and these parties are seeing a ordinary electoral success. The amount of populist parties that have won in Europe have tripled from 8.
5% To 25% Just A Couple Of Years
back and now with the European Parliament elections upwards of 30% okay. The Nationalist right has gone from under 10% performance to 30 percent of the votes of Europe in 20 years. Okay and in the process, the political center has begun to collapse. For example, in the most recent year of elections To date. Prior to this one 2017 there’s a total of 946 districts in Europe that held political elections.
Okay And The Center-Left Coalitions Lost
an astonishing 94 percent of those districts Center-left improved or or held on in only about 56 districts that’s six percent. Even the New York Times admitted that in most Western European countries Center-left parties were not just in retreat, but in some cases they practically ceased to exist that’s the New York Times so. This is the data that all the globalists pundits who are desperately trying to spin the European elections. They’re either ignoring this data or they’re deliberately hiding it from you all right. We saw with the election itself the center-left Social Democrats in the center right Christian Democrats.
They All Saw Their Combined Total Drop Below
the majority for the very first time since the European Union was formed. They dropped from 56% 2014 to 44% today now one of those scholars who’s taking the rise of the nationalist pockets right seriously is Eric Kaufman and what he’s arguing is that there’s an ironic cause behind much of this populist fervor and that cause is none other than progressivism itself progressivism. According to Kaufman is causing populism rise. Kaufman observes that the more progresses open up their borders. The more they’ve allowed unfettered immigration into Europe.
The More They Do This The More.
The nationalist pockets begin to rise in popularity and support who can actually you know we could see this in the charts in immigration. Kaufman provides it in the article that I’ll link. You could see that as migration levels rise you’ll see a parallel rise in populace national support we’re finding over the last few years in survey after survey of European voters across several nations. The number one concern for European voters is immigration particularly since 2015 Take for example, what just happened a few weeks back in Finland and their national elections okay in Finland.
The Nationalist Populist Party Is Called
the true Finn’s. More recently simply the Finns party I’ll always known as the true Finn’s that’s how I learned about it. They went through a number of defections and splits over the years in two different parties which resulted really and they just collapsed an approval in the single digits all right literally just a few months ago Ah they were like today’s Tories in Britain. They were a fringe party nobody wanted anything to do with them. They were losers okay but then something happened.
There Was A Very Very Significant Very
really disgusting child grooming ring run by a bunch of migrants that was exposed in Finland. It was relatively recent back in December of last year. I lose a gang of like 16 to 20 foreign-born men who raped sexually abused girls between the ages 10 and 15. It was in northern Finland and of course the reaction among the authorities and the media was to start lecturing the Finnish that not all migrants are criminals right don’t you get all xenophobic on us. Because of course you’re the problem not these migrants or Finland’s immigration policy Bla Bla Bla right so needless to say the immigrant criminal activities put the true Finn’s back in the limelight and they soared in public approval and support and went on to tie the Social Democrats for first.
In Finland A Tional Elections This Is
literally a few weeks back Okay now what I think makes Coffman rather bold here is that he asserts that blaming the left blaming progress’s for this kind of immigration criminal activity is not just right-wing propaganda there really is some undeniable truth to it precisely because the liberal globalist ideology that has underpinned the European Union of late, especially since the fall of the Soviet Union back in 91 that liberal globalist ideology enshrined the right to live and work across borders right because globalism gives us our porous borders and progressivism turns around gives us the human rights that enshrines those porous borders. So the ideology that calls for ever closer Union right, which is by the way the Scandinavian Center has increasingly been rejecting by the way that’s the paradigm shift that we’re seeing even the political center is becoming. nationalist populist but that’s for another video The ideology that calls for more centralization the removal of national policy vetoes like We’re seeing with them doing to Hungary and Poland the establishment of UK laws, supreme / national law that’s being seen quite legitimately as the origin the cause of what is perceived as an invasion of Europe by migrants who have nothing culturally in common with Europeans So the new left when confronted with this simply responds with politically correct accusations. What you’re just saying that because you’re racist in a bigot and mews NFo, but that’s how that crawl originally tried to handle the surge in nationalist populism in France.
They Just Got Beat By By The Way
right. He started calling the yellow Vests a bunch of you know anti–semitic bigots and this is where I think Kaufman is so good because he he notices that both. Left and the Center right because they shared their commitment with globalism and progressive inspired human rights Both the center left in the Center Right rejected the concerns of European citizens over unfettered immigration and that opened up the opportunity for bootleggers to come in right. You know to bootleggers is right you make alcohol illegal like we did here in the states and people still want to drink.

What Are They Gonna Do Right Theyre
gonna turn to the black market. They’re gonna turns in these bootleggers who found a cash and supplying what the government refused to make available. That is what we’re seeing in Europe and in the UK by the way with Donald Trump Donald Trump was a third party candidate who won a major party nomination okay and so in many respects. Kaufman concludes that as much as progressives want to whine and complain about.
The Rise Of Nationalist Populist Parties
throughout Europe in many respects. They have only themselves to blame for it Progresses created the social conditions that all but guaranteed the rise of the Nationals populist right and the beauty of it all the more progressive.
