Im Here To Talk Today About A Particularly

stupid argument for God now you may say that there are many arguments for the existence of God and that they’re all pretty stupid that the field of competition is pretty intense, but the one I’m going to talk about today is is one perhaps the more pernicious arguments in favor of there being a God because it appears at least superficially to be based on some sort of science. You may have come across loads of these arguments on net and they’ve been put together in the book by someone called Dr. Hugh Ross as the Fella and his books called the the just right universe and he’s come up with that last time I looked it was 26 arguments for God all based on the same basic idea that though there are a lot of constants in physics, a lot. of things about the way the universe seems to be set up, which are very very precise. For instance, neutrons are one point naught naught 1 times the weight of protons, and if they weren’t, they’re neutrons and protons would decay into each other and this would be bad that if strong nuclear forces were just not point three percent stronger, then you wouldn’t be able to form any of the heavy elements there so you’d only be able to form a heavy elements, so there wouldn’t be any hydrogen, whereas if it were a weaker by the same amount, then they would only be hydrogen in the universe and you’ve got actor perhaps sounds a little impressive.

At First, There Are Loads Of Them Oh

if gravity were ever so slightly weaker than all the planets would fly apart and if it were as likely stronger than all crashing. to each other, Oh, yeah, of course, they would what what else electromagnetic forces? Oh, Yes it the electromagnetic forces were any stronger and then each atom would hold onto its electrons so efficient that you wouldn’t get reactions between them and there’d be no chemical reactions worries If they were fair a weaker, then there wouldn’t be strong enough bonds to hold molecules together and I won’t boy with anymore. There are loads of them and I think that all these arguments can be likened unto the migration of birds. In fact I think I can probably get more than 26 extraordinary coincidence. This out over the migration of just just one type of bird and I’ve picked up a bird.

Its Called The Bar-Tailed Godwit.

There we go marvelous and I could have picked the Shearwater or the Arctic Tern or any other long migrating species but I. The bar tailed Godwit because it’s called the bar-tailed Godwit. Now these things do something of an epic journey. You can see here that they fly from New Zealand as round Japan up to Alaska and then in one go form.

They Do 700 To 7,200 Miles All

the way back across the Pacific. In a single flight to New Zealand well that’s a hell of a long way now sometimes they fly quite low over the water, but other times they can be seen locking out in the sky and great heights and in great numbers now only the same magic. They got better 6,000 foot corridor I know they’re often quite low over the water, but let’s give it a 6 thousand foot corridor. I can afford to be generous now over 7,200 miles that’s the equivalent to scale it down to a one-inch high corridor that’s. yards long so it’s got to navigate that incredibly narrow channel, How does it do this you see because if it flew too high and the guy up into space and the air will be too thinly would die and if it flew too low, it would crash into the water and die.

So Lets Think Of Some Of The Variables

do you know if if air density would just ever so slightly greater, then it would climb up and go out into space, but if air density were ever so slightly lower, it would crash into the sea. If it flapped ever so slightly harder than it does flap it would rise up if not it crash into the sea. If it’s muscles were slightly more efficient, it would rise up if they were less efficient, but crash let’s see if it the signals from its nerves to the muscles were slightly more efficiently, but or crash into the sea. If its digestive system was slightly more efficient or less efficient.

If Can You See You Can

just make these figures up under the dome or you could say well. It’s got to cost alter its flight path to follow the curvature of the earth very precisely and if it didn’t do that it would have the space of crash into the sea again. Can see that all these factors are in fact related. You know if the air were denser, it just wouldn’t flap as hard would it if its muscles were more efficient it wouldn’t have to send such strong signals to them to get the flapping Are you with me um all these figures that Dr.

Hugh Rozz Puts Together Suggesting That Theyre

just amazing they’re all interrelated. Of course they are you know why would the group if gravity were increased yes the plants would crash into each other because they found the balance with the strength that gravity is. These arguments may seem compelling but please please Don’t be fooled by them good night.

Summary

I’m here to talk today about a particularly stupid argument for the existence of God . The one I’m going to talk about today is is one perhaps the more pernicious arguments in favor of there being a God because it appears at least superficially to be based on some sort of science . Dr. Hugh Ross has put together 26 arguments for God all based on the same basic idea that though there are a lot of constants in physics, a lot. of things about the way the universe seems to be set up, which are very very precise . The argument perhaps sounds a little impressive, but it’s all pretty stupid that the field of competition is pretty intense, but the one he’s going to discuss today is one of the most pernical arguments for a God . He says it’s a good idea that if gravity were ever so slightly weaker than all the planets would fly apart, then there wouldn’t be strong enough bonds to hold molecules together and there would be no chemical reactions …..
