Whats Going On Guys This Is Ryan

with RK outpost with Matrix Resurrections Warner Brothers was hoping to do just that and resurrect the Matrix franchise, so they could use it to make money in spin-offs and prequels and sequels for the next several years, but instead it had the exact opposite effect. This movie was so terrible and performed so poorly, not only at the box office, but also on HBo Max that it is proved that no the Matrix is not resurrected. In fact, it’s more dead than it ever has been to the point where the people involved with this movie are just coming right out and saying it yeah we don’t have any plans for anything. After this take a look at the headline from Bounty in the comics. After Abysmal opening weekend box office, the Matrix Resurrections producer says no plans for more Matrix movies.

That Is A Good Thing That Is Good

news The only good thing to come of the Matrix resurrections was it made me want to go cleanse my palate and watch the original Matrix movie, which is a really really good movie and it holds up incredibly well, not so much for reloaded and definitely not for revolutions. Reload is okay. Revolutions is also a bad movie but resurrections has taken it one step further and when you look at these box office results. This is embarrassingly bad now. Like most of their HBo, Max and theater releases their day theater and streaming releases.

They Are Hiding The Numbers Theyre

hiding the numbers for the daily box office chart. They’re not showing it as they normally would so we still really only have these opening weekend numbers, but as you can see 12 million dollars. Opening weekend now is that a little off because it doesn’t include the Thursday because it was a five-day opening weekend yeah When you look at these numbers, you can see if you included that Thursday. It’s about a 16 million opening weekend still pathetically bad not even as good as wonder Woman 84, which released a year ago. In the height of all this stuff.

When Theaters Were Just Starting To Open Back

up, there’s no excuse for how bad this movie performed other than it’s just a terrible garbage trash movie 22 million dollars over a five-day Christmas opening weekend. You can’t spin that and you can’t spin it to the point where people that were involved producing this movie are coming out saying yeah we’re not going to do anything else the matrix resurrections producer James Mctigue stated there are currently no plans for any. More Matrix films following the Matrix Resurrections Abysmal opening weekend box office even though I think they made this movie with the intention that they could make more I really do when you look at how this movie ended. When you look at some of the characters they introduced there’s definitely room for things they could do prequel wise in a way if they wanted to if this movie was a success. Unfortunately for them that’s just not the case.

According To The Numbers, The Film Only Grows

12 million dollars in its opening weekend. Although since the film opened on a Wednesday, it grossed a total of 22 and a half in its five-day opening. Just like we talked about at the global box office, the film has raked in 44 million dollars so far worldwide, we’re looking at 66 million. The film reportedly had a budget of 190. Meaning it would have to gross near around 475 to break even I think it’s probably a little bit less than that a little bit less to truly break even but it still wouldn’t be a box of a success.

Obviously Clearly Its Nowhere Near That Number And

will likely never hit it and then that’s not the only side of the story because of course it released on HBo Max as well now I recently was talking to Odin and was getting some of the numbers that he has from his charts. This warner brothers has lost so much money this year from their theatrical releases. Now it’s tough to know exactly how much they could have potentially recouped in HBo Max subscriptions. But we’re talking about near a billion dollar loss in the theaters this year because of their theatrical releases, which a lot of them were right. In line with the HBo Max release as well, it obviously has an impact.

You Cant Deny That But You Got

to look at everything and how it all stacks up to one another and in the case of the Matrix Resurrections only 2.8 million people watched it in the first five days, which is far less than Godzilla versus Kong far less than mortal Kombat more in line with something like the suicide squad which when you look at its box office too even though I thought that was a pretty good movie, it was not not good in any way shape or form when you’re looking at stacking up against everything else pathetic numbers for the matrix and here they’re going in that a little bit 2. 8 million u. s households watch Matrix resurrections during the first five days at streaming following the film’s Abysmal weekend the Matrix Resurrections. Producer James Mctigue spoke to collider informing the outlet.

There Are No Plans For Any

further matrix films. He said look for us. I think at this moment it’s just the movie you’ve seen we’ve got no prequel in mind. We’ve got no sequel in mind. We’ve got no further trilogy and yeah.

I Think Everyone Should Understand That Because Quite

frankly. This movie had no plan in any way shape or form you heard Lana Wachowski. I played that video the other day she’s on the red carpet premiere gets asked hey Why did you make this movie It doesn’t have an answer other than She says there was no planning involved. There was no organization. I just decided it had to be made yeah We understand there was no planning.

There Was No Organization In This

movie In general it was a failure. It was terrible There’s nothing. redeeming not even great action sequences not even great score or anything like that this movie is a dumpster fire. However, while he claims there’s no plans at the moment he did indicate there’s a possibility for more but I think the film also works where it’s really open to audience interpretation like what happened in those 60 years before they finished or Thomas Anderson Denio when Neo and Trinity at the end are they taking with the and they’re talking with the analyst, what do they actually mean they’re going to change and I do like that he didn’t necessarily say you know we’re gonna make these but he said you can oh it’s open to your interpretation. You can imagine anything happening in that time period can’t you Matigue would also admit there’s a financial component on whether or not any new matrix projects get made there’s always.

The Financial Part Of It Theres

always the filmmakers who want to make those films so there’s always the studios or streamers who have the money to facilitate that so yeah It’s always a business equation as much it is as it is a creative equation well. When you look at the financials for this movie. I don’t think anyone is sitting there going to be screaming from the rooftops. This was a financial success. We need more of this when you look at something like Dune right Dune, which actually didn’t have the same number of didn’t even have 2.

8 Million People Watching Had Less Than That Around

2 million people. It’s opening weekend. When you look at the numbers you did box office wise it didn’t quite break even maybe about 10 million short of breaking even in the worldwide box office, but then you had the Hbo. Max on top of it, They were willing to give that a sequel after that right because that was enough for them to see that they thought it deserves to get a sequel matrix. It’s not even close to anything like that.

This Is One Of The Most

pathetic box office results. We have seen in a long long time and obviously we’ve seen the reaction when you look at the all audience score 45 on Rotten Tomatoes. People are very divided but obviously they’re not very interested in actually going to see this movie and that is the real problem from warner brothers. Let me know you think about all this in the comments below. Do you think there’s any chance we see anything stemming if whether it’s a prequel whether it’s a sequel whether it’s anything at all an animated series whatever it could be do you think.
