Ive Been Here All Day And Ive

so far seen six other tourists. This is April the mountains in the distance are snow-capped the top of a tombs. It looks a lot like a sarcophagus lid and look at the weathering on it. Here it’s it’s really deep deep cracks that go right in well after scrambling up that I find that all the locals have been turned into goats wonder which keeps farting loudly aha. This will be the tomb of the bull’s horns and there are the horns have to say.

These Are These Grazing Goats Had Some

great views to enjoy while they’re eating a load of stones in the pile. Presumably that was a building of some sort and then around me got some stones on the line there bit of a wall. What Can I say after a while even to a trained archaeologist like me heap of stones is well. It’s a vast and right so who ran things here well. The Lyceum‘s were largely independent or at least semi independent most of the time, but they came under some Persian influence.

Then The Persian Wars Happened Against

Greece and versions got kicked out hooray but then the Lyceum joined the Delian League, which might not have been their best move. Most of the states that joined the Delian League lived to regret it it sort of became the Athenian Empire or what name but then came the Peloponnesian War and that was the end of the Delian League and then Oh yes The Persians came back. Don’t and then the Persians get kicked in by John. The Great Ray possibly it was lycée a liberated or conquered world event which way.

You Look At It Then Of

course Alexander the Great had died and then you get all the wars between your successors and the winner of this area was Ptolemy now Tommy was also the King of Egypt and the ancestor of Cleopatra that’s right Kilpatrick I mean there were loads of Cleopatra’s but the famous one Elizabeth Taylor gets to play you know she wasn’t back till May Greek and as far as we know had ginger hair under that black wig I’ve somewhat got off the point so there’s a red Dias then totally gets kicked in later by the Romans, who then hand over the area to the road. Ian’s but that has worked very well and then they’re sort of semi-independent stroke part of the general Roman World from then on for a fair while oh um and it’s not until Ptolemies time that they. Start speaking Greek so up until about third century UK they were speaking lycian their own language and then they that is beating Greek queue for the third time Today I very nearly trod book on a tortoise the so called Guard Tower approached from behind it is very climb above all’s double doors used to open inward the sign didn’t say no climbing and it was clearly built to last look there’s even surviving plaster there it is from the front right and now I’m on the top of the so-called Guard tower well I had to climb it Hmm Sorry Mum and Wow God Sorry. It’s really sharp and it’s a bit deathy here overlooking everything all the time are all those presumably rock-cut tombs with a 4x carnation order where they sealed up at the front presumably not 4x carnation because then you would only need a.

Wouldnt Need One For Everyone This

I’m fairly sure is the Lower Acropolis. I’ve just been exploring that and if I turn around I can show you where those men are there that’s what they think is the Agora the Agora from which we get a agoraphobia The open space in a town now it’s not on any of the maps or in the guidebooks, but I think I’ve just found the entrance to the Acropolis look at that I can’t believe the size of some of those stones. The the uprights either side are what I think is the entranceway to the Acropolis. It makes sense to me leave me a second make sense to me that you would come from the Agora up.

  • acropolis look believe size stones
  • tombs looks lot like sarcophagus
  • scrambling locals turned goats wonder
  • locals turned goats
  • trained archaeologist like heap stones

This Actually Fairly Gentle Slope Through

that gateway and up that slope and that would take you to the Acropolis. This staggering amount of work. That went into building this city everything had to be moved into place by hand in such a twisty turny maze of outcrops and extrordinary.
