Are There Everyone Today Is Holy Saturday For

the Eastern Orthodox Church of which I’m a part our Easter Sunday this year is a week after the Western Easter date as we’re required by the canons to celebrate Easter after the Jewish Passover and every year on this day. Holy Saturday. One of the most anticipated events if not these single most anticipated event of the year takes place in what’s called the miracle of the Holy Fire, which appears every year at this time at the tomb of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. The place where Jesus was buried after his crucifixion for those of you who don’t know or who may not be familiar with this event it’s not really well known in the West every year at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre the church that was erected by that Crusaders over the very spot where Jesus. Christ was buried and resurrected Tens of thousands of Christians gather together and the Greek.

Orthodox Patriarch Of Jerusalem Enters Into

Christ’s tomb. He kneels in front of the stone slab, on which Christ dead body was laid and after reciting prayers. A mystical bluish light appears covering the stone slab and it ignites the thirty-three candles bundled together in the Patriarchs hand representing each year of Christ’s life, which is then spread to all the people present in the church and their candles and through them. Indeed, it spreads quite literally throughout the entire world and in many parishes and homes it burns throughout the year. Now of course with the benefit of modern technology, you can actually watch the miracle unfold for yourself on UK from a number of past years now.

This Miracle.

The holy fire I believe reveals the very trance figurative light by which Christ. Raised from the dead. This is now Gregory of Nyssa in the fourth century in John Thomas scene later in the eighth century interpretive they both write about how the Apostle Peter saw the Holy Light in Christ’s tomb the Holy Sepulchre after Christ’s Resurrection and the church historian Eusebius records eyewitness testimonies of a similar miraculous light appearing in Jerusalem during the Easter celebration starting around the year 1/6 to ad and since then this miracle in the ceremony that surrounds. It may in fact be the oldest unbroken success of Christian ceremony in history, the Holy fire takes place every single year at the same time same manner same spot century after century there’s simply no other miracle known to occur so regularly over so many centuries apart from the Eucharist itself of course now of course, what makes this a miracle is that there’s simply no detectable.

Ignition Source Remember This Is A Ceremony

that goes back long before you had instantaneous ignition sources like modern-day Flint‘s and Matches. In fact, it’s customary for both the tomb and the Patriarch to be to be searched by authorities. Often Arabic or Jewish police not Christian believers and granted the search is more ceremonial than security-oriented. There is nevertheless some semblance of corroboration that the Patriarch is indeed without an ignition source and there’s no ignition source in the tomb. The most credible explanation for the appearance of the kind of heat signature needed to spark.

This Kind Of Fire Comes From A Russian

physicist named Andre Volkov in the scientific mission that he did investigating the Holy fire back in 2008. Volkoff is a specialist in low plasma heat, which is an ionized gas that’s the most common state of matter in the universe, but it’s actually rarely. on Earth and Volkoff is part of that scientific world that’s actually learning to reproduce and utilize heat plasma and so he, along with four other scientists who were with and published an article back in 2012 in a Russian journal entitled Science and Religion and there they detailed how they witnessed a dramatic spike in the electromagnetic radioactive measurements. At the moment the Holy fire was appearing while the Patriarch was inside the tomb praying, which was preceded by inexplicable appearances of plasma. The form a blue light that filled the church from which an electrical discharge ignited the fire.

Now The Fascinating Thing Here Which The Scientists

recognized as if the electromagnetic plasma discharges were not enough. They recognize that given these desert-like conditions in the church, the fire that was ignited by this electrical discharge it was contained. It was controlled is directed solely to the candles. Other words, while it’s miraculous enough to have the sudden appearance of this plasma and radiation spike an electrical discharge. Nothing explains why it is that the Patriarchs clothing or any other fabric doesn’t ignite as well, along with the candles.

The Ignition Seems To Be Specific

and contained, but not always back in the 16th century after some controversies in the church, it was reported that one of the columns of the Holy Sepulcher split open and the holy fire was important to have manifested from the column. Now what’s so interesting is that this split column is still there. You can see plenty of pictures on it and the internet plenty of commentary Yeah that there’s a split column there’s hardly controversial. It’s just an observable fact and it’s been analyzed meticulously by scientific experts in the field of fracture mechanics and their conclusion has been that this. column fracture could only have come from a massive electrical discharge consistent with the highest values of what are called kilovolts associated with plasma discharges, So we’re talking about a mass electrical charge that left a permanent footprint as it were and the very structure of the church and here’s the key that’s consistent with the kind of plasma phenomenon seen yearly associated with the holy fire and verified by the Russian study.

So We Do Have These Reports

of plasma consistent with these plasma electrical discharges and then of course, we have the cracked pillar now what’s so fascinating in all This is how the Holy fire has become the occasion for nothing less than the re-emergence of Christian civilization in the world today take, for example, Russia, The Holy fire has risen to an extraordinary prominence in the Russian Orthodox Church in the years since the it’s post-soviet. Experts recognized the Holy fire in many ways symbolizes the rebirth of Orthodox Christianity essential to Russia’s post-soviet national identity. Indeed, the flame is being more and more treated like a national symbol. After the flames appearance in the Holy Sepulchre, a plane specially carries the flame to Russia in a sealed torch and it’s the exact same torch. They use for the Olympic flame and as such it’s greeted by thousands of believers at Moscow‘s Vnukovo Airport Arrivals broadcast live online on national UK.

Its Then Brought To The Easter

service beginning at midnight Moscow time at what is the official Cathedral of Russia Christ. The Saviour Cathedral and it’s then presented to Vladimir Putin President Vladimir Putin, who is in attendance representing the nation before God and so the Holy Fire really has become a symbol of Russia’s Christian rebirth as the resources of that rebirth are directly. To the Holy Land and the very place of Christ’s Resurrection and of course the flame is distributed to parishes throughout Russia to nearly 50 different cities and the organization that funds the flames distribution throughout Russia has begun actually delivering the holy fire to the various corners of the earth, including just recently for the very first time ever to the United States and so the flame is being seen as a symbol of the re-emergence the Transfiguration Christian civilization throughout the world and that I believe next to the resurrection of Christ is perhaps the greatest miracle of them all and so as always please like comment and subscribe and a blessed pasca to all my Orthodox brothers and sisters Christo’s Anesti Christos vos Grecia Christ is risen.
